ALIEN EARTH
OOOOOOOOOOOUGGGGGGGHH alien franchise my beloved. xenomorphs my beloved. i had NO idea this was even coming out until right before the first two episodes dropped. i'm excited to have a current show to watch, because most of what i watch has already been out for a long while. the cliffhangers bro... i end up on the edge of my seat every time... ALSO CAN WE TALK ABOUT !!! the insane picks for outro songs each episode!!!! wait let me hide them if you want to find out for yourself ... BLACK SABBATH ??? TOOL ??? SMASHING PUMPKINS ??? GODSMACK ??? like come ON !! #true peak... i can't wait to see what other bangers they'll pull out for this show.

BETTER CALL SAUL
and speaking of shows that have been out for long while ..... LMAO but BCS is probably top tier show for me ... i did not watch it as it was airing unfortunately i binged all the episodes on netflix around 3 years ago? it's actually nearing the anniversary of me starting the show for the first time in a week (9/21/2022).. THAT'S CRAZY! i fear that this show has altered my brain chemistry!! i've made two playlists (above image is actually the cover image for one of them), drawn fanart, written fanfic, started a self-insert AU, we even have an entire playlist dedicated to period accurate music we would listen to in universe...there's STORY ARCS, there's CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, there's LORE!! it's also got me returning to my roots as a nu-metal enjoyer, because that's mostly what i listened to growing up and it would just make sense to incorporate that in our universe. BCS has become a comfort show for me and even during subsequent rewatches it still makes me emotional and gets my heart racing ... that's #true cinema for you!

NEW DEFTONESSSSSSSS makes me feel crazy. only been out for less than a month atp and it's a top album for me ... my favorite tracks are my mind is a mountain, ecdysis, and milk of the madonna. definitely on constant rotation. uncle chino you've done it again...

i have also been listening to the GazettE, recommended by my bestie lizzie. i admittedly don't listen to jrock / visual kei bands enough but i really fw their sound and already have a ton of favorites! the playlist she sent me has their discography in chronological order so i'm starting from the beginning which is what i'd do normally with any band i'm trying to get into. so far i have to say their NIL album is my favorite but i have many more tracks to go! i'm only a few hours into this 11 hour playlist LOLLL

no but seriously this is the main game i've been playing for the better part of a year atp. i didn't think i'd get this so invested in it but here i am with 400+ hours logged...and yet i've only beat the game once! it took FOREVER. but now that i kinda know what to do now i feel like my other campaigns won't be as long (or will they...) it's hard to say bc act 3 is where all the fun is i feel like. act 2 i think i like most aesthetically (of course my emo ass would enjoy the shadowlands + underdark more than the surface) sorry to act 1 enjoyers... u_u

TWIN PEAKS
ok to be truthful i only finished watching all of twin peaks last year but i feel like i see references to it now in everything, which i guess is sometimes the intention for certain media. i'm soyjack pointing at every little reference while looking at nobody in particular except maybe the cats. but they don't get it. i joke but i do really enjoy this series. i teared up watching fire walk with me. i stayed up late to read laura's diary and found it difficult to get through... there are certain aspects to TP as a whole that really resonated with me for different reasons. i'm also kinda glad i watched it with someone who was already familiar with the series so we could bounce our thoughts off each other (and so i could get clarification on anything i missed lol). i'm slacking right now because i finished a second rewatch of the first season a couple weeks ago and then started another show (hello, alien: earth).
